We learned about motion. Motion is how things move. Force makes things move. Push is a force. Pull is a force. Gravity is an invisible force that pulls stuff to the ground. Friction is a force that makes things stop. Next week, we will learn about forces with magnets.
We also learned about skip counting and digits. Digits are numbers like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Digits can be in the hundreds, or the tens, or the ones place. For example, the number 28 has two digits. The tens digit is 2 and the ones digit is 8. You can skip count with every number but one. We practiced skip counting by twos, fives, and tens. People skip count so they can count faster. Below are two videos to help us practice skip counting at home.
Don't forget about student led conferences next week: Tuesday from 4-7:30 and Friday from 11-12:30.
