We've been learning about coins. We have learned about a penny, a nickel, dime and a quarter. A penny is worth 1 cent, a nickel is worth 5 cents, a dime is worth 10 cents, and a quarter is worth 25 cents. We even learned a song about money. Click below to see the money song.
We wrote sentences about landforms. Some people wrote about the ocean, mountains, and flat plains. We thought about what it would be like if we were the landforms and what they were like to do our writing. We tried to put sparkle and pizzazz in our writing.
We are learning what happens when two vowels go walking. "EE" says the long e sound. "AY" says the long a sound. "EA" says the long e sound. The rule is when two vowels go walking, only the first vowel says it's name. The second vowel sits quietly. Below is a video about two vowels walking.
That was what we did this week. We hope you enjoyed the blog and the songs and your weekend!
