We had a substitute teacher this week! Her name was Mrs. Olsson. She came for two days because Mrs. H was sick for two days. The substitute had to read a list to know what to do. She was a nice substitute. We liked our substitute but she was not better than Mrs. H. :-)
We wrote letters to Cael and Ruby Bridges. Cael has cancer and is Mr. Wolfe's son (Mr. Wolfe is one of our PE teachers). Cael likes Walker Texas Ranger and he is in first grade too. We hope our letters make him smile. We also wrote letters to Ruby Bridges. She was one of the first black children to integrate a school. She is writing a new book called Through Their Eyes. We hope that our letters get published into her new book.
We had a pajama day! It is called "Kids Give a Hoot Day!" We showed compassion to Cael by writing letters or donating money to Team Cael to show we give a hoot. If we finished letters to Cael we got to wear to pajamas and that is how writing letters to Cael has to do with pajamas.
This week was an awesome week. We are going to write a new blog next week. Next week will be March. Check back then!
