We found a grub in our classroom this morning! We've never had a grub in the classroom before. We wonder where it came from. We did some research and learned that grubs turn into beetles! In the winter, they go a meter down into the ground so they don't die. In the spring, they come out and become beetles. Then they lay 15-20 eggs. We named our grub Grubby. We went outside to find a good place for him with lots of dirt but not grass or plants. That way, he won't eat them. We hope he lives all winter long! Here are some pictures of our Grubby Adventure!

Drake couldn't wait to get home and tell us all about Grubby! It's so much fun hearing new stories each day and how much he is enjoying school so far. Love how the children are always using their imaginations while learning new things. Wonderful!

How fun! Titus was very excited to tell us about Grubby. I didn't know that grubs turn into beetles! When I think of grubs, I think of Timon, Pumba, and Simba from The Lion King!
